About Zeta Beta

The Zeta Beta Chapter of Sigma Lambda Beta was founded in 1999 at the University of Florida and is one of founding organizations of the Multicultural Greek Council. We pride ourselves in promoting to the fullest, the advancement of all people and we stress the importance of cultural awareness in all that we do. From our member base to our programs, one will see the diversity come alive and through that diversity we strive to build leaders in every community on campus and beyond, and give them the tools to be successful in whatever they endeavor to do. We also strive to build on one’s strengths and improve on weaknesses, to develop positive attitudes and respect, and a mentality that encourages perseverance through adversity.

A message from the former president:

Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. was founded upon the principles of brotherhood, scholarship, community service, and cultural awareness. Here at the Zeta Beta Chapter, we are proud of our roots but are always striving to be at our best. At our core, we represent the four pillars our founders established us on, but we do not stop there. We do not blindly accept tradition or follow behind others. Instead, we are always the leaders in the room and aim to build upon the past. We welcome any and all races or ethnic backgrounds into our fraternity because we are aware of the value of diversity. We have brothers ranging from Nicaragua, Cuba, Jamaica, India, Trinidad and Tobago, and even Japan. We are proud to claim that we are truly international and hope we can continue this trend. Here at the University of Florida, we strive for success and excellence in all that we do as members of Sigma Lambda Beta, students, and people to continue to be one of the top Greek organizations. If you are interested in learning more about our organization feel free to email us or speak to any brother you may recognize on campus.
